Customer rejecting trailer

After hours call support

  • Collect driver name, truck number, trailer number and location
  • Confirm the shipper name to be sure you are looking at the proper load
  • Find out the reason for rejection (ex: hole in roof or sides, moisture, dirt/debris)
  • Ask driver to take and send pictures of the problem
  • If trailer is dirty and it is a reefer, inquire with customer if a washout will solve the problem. (Do not wash out dry vans without prior authorization from management).
  • If repairs are needed, notify driver we will be in touch with them shortly with instructions
  • If customer is refusing to load trailer regardless of proposed remedies, instruct driver to head to nearest truckstop and await further instructions shortly. Then proceed to call broker and notify them trailer has been rejected by customer and load needs to be cancelled
