Find out if driver has the load number for which detention/layover is missing. If they don’t know the load number, ask them for the pickup and delivery locations as well as the dates
If the call is received after hours or on the weekend, advise the driver that accounting will be notified and will contact them with a resolution at the start of the next business day
If call is received during regular business hours, advise driver, accounting will be reaching back to them shortly with a resolution
