Reporting delay

After hours call script

  • Collect driver name, truck number, trailer number and location
  • Confirm driver’s current load to be sure you are looking at the proper one
  • Ask driver the reason for the delay (ex: road closure, accident, breakdown)
  • Thank driver for the update and ask them to report further development
  • During business hours alert dispatcher responsible for the load
  • After hours and on the weekend call the broker and advise them of the reported delay. Let them know we will call and update them again once we are back on the road
